Improvement of women’s right to have access to safe abortion information and services.
Location: The project will be implemented in 12 refugee camps located in to north and to the south of the West Bank.
 
Goal: 1. (15%) Increase of preventive information concerning unsafe abortion among public (from both sexes), community & religious leaders which decreased the risks of unsafe abortion incidence among women aged (15-49) in 12 Refugee Camps in the west Bank
 
Target Audience Married women aged (15-49),Men aged 20-50,Youth (females and Males) aged 18-25, community & Religious leaders, Women leaders/ Administrators at camps, Policy makers/MOH, Legislative councilors, Females’ health staff at camp’s clinics,Public/ audience

Summery:This project has five main startegies:

The first Strategy focuses on accomplishing the entire preparatory tasks that is essential for starting the sensitive project in a very religious and conservative society with out any contradiction from the people or the leaders or the involved organizations there.
The second strategy supposes to concentrate on developing a quantitative and qualitative database on abortion at the camps based on the findings of the baseline survey that will be implemented in the selected refugee camps in order to form a five years strategic preventive and intervention plan.

The third strategy will put the efforts to reduce the restrictions of customs and believes related to abortion among the people in camps.

The fourth strategy is about developing a professional and simple preventive activities and IEC materials to aware the public (from both sexes) in camps about the risks of unsafe abortion and its preventive methods.


The fifth strategy will be focused on increasing the commitments among policy makers, community and religious leaders towards women’s right to choose and to increase access to safe abortion.
