| Summery: | Sexual and Reproductive Health Centers of Excellence: These are model centers, which integrate clinical health services with access to knowledge on reproductive body functions and sexuality for women. In addition to offering guidance and advice to women on how to deal with domestic violence, and assist in building their self esteem through improved knowledge about their sexual and reproductive health rights, and male involvement in these issues. These centers will also be used to offer training services for health providers of other organizations. Specific services offered Family planning services including counseling for individuals, married and engaged couples on family planning methods. Gynecological and antenatal health care, postnatal care, Pap smear, breast exam and women?s health in menopausal age. Legal and Psychosocial counseling on sexual and reproductive health. Hotline Service: Counseling service on sexual and reproductive health aimed at providing scientific answers to young people?s inquiries in these issues. Counseling: The Palestinian Family Planning & Protection Association has taken the responsibility of launching the counseling component as an integrated part of its SRH services that it provides at its Women Health Centers, so as to provide the needed counseling services for the enhancement of Palestinian women?s and their families SRH status. Hence, PFPPA addresses the social, psychological, legal, and sexual health counseling aspects of a woman?s life through the services it currently provides at its centers. The envisaged long term impact of the counseling component will always be the enhancement of women?s awareness at a comprehensive level on their rights to SRH, social, psychological, legal, and sexual counseling in order to make them have a better choice all along. |
